An Amazing Trip!!!
Conner Middle offers to its 7th graders an opportunity to go on an all-inclusive optional field trip to Chicago. This year the trip will occur on April 22 - 24, 2022. This page will give you information about the trip planned at this time. It is sponsored by Mrs. Pennington and Mrs. Hansel.
General Information:
Date: Friday morning (6am) April 22 - Sunday night (10pm) April 24
We will we will travel by charter bus Friday morning to Chicago. We will start with lunch there then start touring throughout the entire day drive at our hotel that night. We will then on Saturday morning get up to a large breakfast, then tour the entire day on Saturday arriving back at the hotel later in the evening.We will stop for a nice lunch and dinner. Then on Sunday morning we will awake, have breakfast, pack, continue touring, and leave Chicago after lunch.
Cost: $779 - AND OUR PARENTS PAY THE SAME AMOUNT AS THE KIDS!!!! WE DO WANT PARENTS TO GO!
Yes - this is expensive and there are cheaper companies - but Worldstrides gives us so much more for our money. We have tried other companies and they are not as accessible or helpful during the trip. Payment can be made in full or spread out into monthly installment payments*. Lunch - Portillos
Water Tower This structure was the only public building to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871! As such, it has become a symbol of old Chicago and the city’s recovery from the fire.
John Hancock Center - 360 tour
Navy Pier Continue your adventure of one of the most exciting cities in the U.S. with a stroll down Navy Pier. This iconic structure is Chicago’s main attraction and stretches more than 3,000 feet from the Chicago shoreline across Lake Michigan. Peruse the many shops, restaurants, and attractions of this historic place.

Tour of Wrigley Field
Willis Tower Take a look from Skydeck on the 103rd floor of America’s second tallest building! Formerly known as Sears Tower, this magnificent construction reaches more than 1,450 into the clouds of the sky.
Dinner at The Original Gino’s East of Chicago Rest your feet and please your appetite with a deep-dish pizza dinner at this landmark eatery.

Museum of Science and Industry Experience an astounding collection of exhibits, including a massive model railroad; the first diesel-powered stainless steel train; and a NASA spacecraft used during Apollo 8, the second manned mission of the U.S. Apollo space program.

Buckingham Fountain Take a stroll up to Buckingham Fountain, considered to be Chicago’s front door. This massive fountain showcases incredible waterworks that are perfect for a photo with friends!
Millennium Park Explore more than 24 acres of the exciting and diverse Millennium Park, which includes Cloud Gate, Crown Fountain, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and Lurie Garden.

DAY 3
Breakfast and hotel check-out
Art Institute of Chicago Visit the Art Institute of Chicago, which is the second largest art museum in the country and is renowned for its world-class collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art.
Field Museum of Natural History With a collection of 21 million specimens, see which world-class collections are on display. Be sure to visit Sue, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex that’s known!
Lunch (at the museum) Depart Chicago for home
